Anybody here read Piers Anthony's Xanth series? I've been a fan for about sixteen years. True I think the older books are much better than the newer ones but so far I've never found one I actually didn't like. My favorites would have to be books one through twelve.
I love them and so does my fiance! I actually seem to like the newer ones better. So far I'd have to say my favorite two were pet peve and between a rock and a hard place. :) yea for more xanth fans!
My husband and I both love them as well. Our favorites are 1/12 too. :) I think he gets wierder and wierder as the series progresses. I think what totally hurts the series is Ida's moons, but they're still good, just not as good.
It's a shame about the movie. Apparently last year there was going to be a movie of A Spell for Chameleon but the project was scrapped due to the current economic climate. Then again it'd probably be pretty hard to make a palletable movie based on one of the Xanth novels. Although I do think that Hugh Laurie might be good as Trent...
